Visit List: Work In Progress

The visitors for this upcoming Jan. 10 recruiting weekend have changed more times than Superman. We will firm up the list over the next day or so as much as possible. Here is what it looks like for now.

January 10-12 Michigan Official Visitors (tentative) - All-American wide receiver/cornerback Antonio Cromartie (Jan 10 official visit, 6-4, 200 lbs., 4.4 in the 40, 10.7 100 meters, 2.5 GPA) from Tallahassee, Fla., Lincoln. He is TheInsiders's #28 prospect. On Jan. 4 he told us, I go to Michigan January 10th. Then in the next three weeks I go to Florida (Jan. 17), Miami (Jan. 24) and Florida State (Jan. 31, the fav?). I'm really open at this point. I like Michigan's football tradition."

- All American cornerback Leon Hall (Jan 10 official visit, USC Nike Stats: 5-11, 175 lbs., 4.42 in the 40, 4.19 shuttle, 33 inch vertical jump) from Vista, Calif. He is coming with a Vista assistant coach. For the season (going into the Dec. 14 Div. 1 SoCal championship game for 10-2 Vista) Hall has 22 catches as a receiver, and 46 tackles and two interceptions as a cornerback. He is The Insiders' #78 prospect.

- Possible visitor: Back around the first of Dec, All-American running back Tyrone Moss (5-10, 210 lbs., 4.5 in the 40, academically qualified) from Pompano Beach, Fla., Ely told yours truly, "Yes, definitely, Michigan will be my 5th visit. I've been talking to Coach Campbell all along, and lately we've talked about when I will visit." Before Christmas he visited North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Michigan State and Miami -- where he committed. However, his statement to me that he would visit U-M for his last visit was said emphatically -- I called him twice in three days and he reiterated it ... emphatically (at the time this flew in the face of other reports, so I just let it lie). So we'll see if he comes in this weekend. He is The Insiders' #41 prospect.

- Possible visitor: All-American linebacker/defensive end Claude Turk McBride (Dec. 13 postponed, 6-4, 235 lbs., 4.6 in the 40, 3.2 GPA/780 SAT) from Camden, New Jersey, Woodrow Wilson. He is TheInsiders' #34 prospect. His Dec. 13 Michigan visit was cancelled, reportedly due to illness; he may reschedule for January. He has visited Tennessee (Oct. 26) and Ohio State (Nov. 23 for the U-M game) -- and Miami (Jan. 17) may be his favorite. Again, we will see if he comes in this weekend.
