Tyrone Moss: Bad and Good News

Nothing is constant in recruiting except change! Here's the latest on All-American running back Tyrone Moss from Pompano Beach, Fla., Ely.

Yours truly talked Thursday night to All-American running back Tyrone Moss (5-10, 210 lbs., 4.5 in the 40, academically qualified) from Pompano Beach, Fla., Ely.

Are you visiting Michigan this weekend?

"I have to reschedule my visit ... I got my dates mixed up. I'm going to old Miss this weekend. I talked to Coach Campbell today, and I think I'm coming up to Michigan the following weekend."

How firm is your Miami commitment?

"I'm not fully committed. I'm still taking other visits. I just wanted to hold myself a spot there."

Would you really come North to go to school?

"I always said, if I stay instate, that's one thing. But if I come to Michigan for a visit and feel like I'm at home, then hopefully I'll be there."

"I've already visited Virginia Tech, Miami (unofficial), Michigan State and North Carolina."

Then he started asking ME questions, which is a first time event for me!

" Anyone else coming this weekend? (I told him Antonio Cromartie). Chris Perry will be there one for how many more years, one? (Yeah, one.) Okay then, if I feel comfortable at Michigan, I'll be up there ... "

Note: Moss has always talked very positively about Michigan to me, going back to late November when he insisted to me that he'd visit U-M. So we'll see what develops.

Moss is The Insiders' #41 prospect, and last weekend at the US Army All-American Game Tom Lemming told me, "The biggest mistake I made in picking these teams was leaving out Tyrone Moss. He's exceptional, he's a McGahee. I had to make my picks in August, and I missed out on Moss."

Moss: "Yeah, I think I should've played in that game."
