"It was fun," said Pace of his time in Ann Arbor. "It was more informal… just really relaxed. It wasn't really like a recruiting thing. It was just hanging around and talking to everyone. I knew two recruits that were there, but I only got to talk to one. He is from Columbus DeSales… Travis Jackson. It was fun. It wasn't really formal at all."
Amid the casual interactions the Michigan coaching staff did have the opportunity to further lay out for Pace what their plan for him is.
"They told me they want me as an interior guy…either guard or center," he recalled. "Their center is young, but both their guards are graduating after this year."
Pace, who was also in town for the Spring game, is feeling even more positive about the Maize & Blue after Saturday's visit. Could a decision be just on the horizon?
"Right now they're right up there," Pace said of Michigan. "I think I'll have a decision soon."
Florida State and Northwestern are "two of the really big ones" also on Pace's list at the moment. The 6-2, 250-pounder has already taken a trip to Evanston (IL), but he isn't sure whether a visit to Tallahassee (FL) will occur before he makes his selection.
"It could come this month," Pace said regarding a decision. "It could come this week, maybe."
