Will Dominique Easley look North?

Dominique Easley has always been a man of few words, but with rumors about his recruitment status swirling, he did clear the air and shed some light on his situation.

Staten Island defensive end Dominique Easley, Scout.com's #65 prospect, is back from last weekend's trip to Florida. Easley favored the Gators for months, and had planned to commit in to Urban Meyer and staff at their Friday Night Lights summer camp. Despite enjoying his time spent in the sunshine state, Easley returned home as an uncommitted prospect. It seems as though the Gators are still doing they're homework, and are not ready to accept a commitment from Easley at this time.

"They needed my transcripts," he told GoBlueWolverine, "and want to see how I scored on the SAT test. So I'm going to look at my options again."

It's a peculiar situation, since the four star prospect carries a B average in the classroom. Easley is waiting on the SAT results from his test June.

Nevertheless, Easley is back on the market, already developing a new list of suitors.

"I'm looking at Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Georgia, Michigan, and Florida."

As far as narrowing it from there, he said, "I haven't decided which schools will get official visits yet."

Easley has always preferred the schools located south of the Mason Dixon line, which has put the Miami Hurricanes in prime contention for his services.

"I'm just attracted to that style of football," he said. "It's great football."

As far as Michigan is concerned, the Wolverines are in the mix, but have some catching up to do.

"I don't know a lot about them yet. So I'll have to see what they're talking about."
