Terrence Talbott Picks up UM Offer

Huber Heights (OH) Wayne DB Terrence Talbott made his way to Ann Arbor for the first time yesterday, and left town having received some good news. An impressive workout netted him an offer. Are the Wolverines now on top?

Sam Webb:  So how was your first visit to Michigan?

Terrence Talbott:  "It was good.  We got to see how there academics was and then we did a little work out.  I liked the facilities and everything.  The coaches were real cool.  Coach Rodriguez, he's a real good guy.  I like how he runs his program.  It was nice, I liked it a lot."

Sam Webb:  What other places have you been?

Terrence Talbott:  "I've been to Wisconsin.  I've been to UC (Cincinnati), but it really aint got nothing on Michigan and Wisconsin.  That's all I've been so far."

Sam Webb:  Do you have plans on taking any more visits before your season starts?

Terrence Talbott:  "I don't know if I am going to be taking any more visits.  We got two-a-days coming up Monday, so probably not, but during the season I am still going to try and take my official visits."

Sam Webb:  Did you get a Michigan offer?

Terrence Talbott:  "Yeah I got offered by Michigan."

Sam Webb:  What other offers do you have right now?

Terrence Talbott:  "I've got Wisconsin.  I got the University of Akron, Toledo, University of Cincinnati, Kentucky, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, Purdue, Marshall, Ohio, Ball State and Kent State."

Sam Webb:  Now that Michigan has offered you and now that you've been there, where do they stand on your list right now?

Terrence Talbott:  "They definitely made it tougher for my decision.  They're on top right now.  Right now it is between Wisconsin and Michigan, but like I said, I haven't been anywhere else.  I am still going to keep my options open, but I am going to definitely keep Michigan in mind."

Sam Webb:  Would you say those two are tied at the top or one of them ahead?

Terrence Talbott:  "I really don't know yet.  See how my visits go again.  I'm going to try and get to a game and see how atmosphere is on game day.  I really don't know yet."

Sam Webb:  Are they talking to you about corner or safety?

Terrence Talbott:  "I don't really know for real.  My coach said something about me playing safety up there after they put a little more weight on me.  As far as I'm concerned it is corner right now."

Sam Webb:  Now you said they put you through a little workout.  Take me through that, what did they have you do on this workout?

Terrence Talbott:  "DB drills and they basically wanted to see how my hips are and how I accelerate and my change of direction and stuff like that."

Sam Webb:  I know you get the following question a lot, but it is a big deal for you and your brother to go to the same school?

Terrence Talbott:  "It is, yeah."

Sam Webb:  Have all the schools that have offered you, offered him too?

Terrence Talbott:  "Actually he got a little more than me.  Bowling Green offered him, and North Carolina and UCLA also offered him."

Sam Webb:  Besides that, tell me what the other things are that is going to play into your final decision.

Terrence Talbott:  "I really don't know yet.  I'm going to let it come to me.  I'm keeping my options open.  I don't want to be like, aw I like this place, I'm going to go here.  Like I said, I am going to take my visits and see which one I feel more at home at."

Sam Webb:  So it sounds like you're not even close to making a decision. What does your timeline look like? when do you want to make a decision?

Terrence Talbott:  "Probably towards the end of my season… something like that.  I'm really not sure yet.  Yeah probably towards the end."

Sam Webb:  Speaking of the season, how is your squad looking far this coming year?

Terrence Talbott:  "So far, we're looking pretty good.  We got two-a-days still and I'll be able to tell how we going to look after two-a-days.  I think we're going to be pretty good though.  We're going to be as good as we want to be.  I think we're going to be alright."
