Hoops Hosting Big Unofficial Visitor

The Michigan coaching staff has been hard on the trail of 2011 targets in recent weeks. Today they're apparently hosting a big one… literally and figuratively.

Sources have informed GoBlueWolverine that Arden (NC) Christ C Marshall Plumlee is in Ann Arbor taking an unofficial visit today.  The 6-11.5, 210-lb. big man is one of the top ranked post players in the 2011 class.  His AAU coach, Grant Gibson, indicated that there is a very good reason for that.

"He is an unbelievably hard worker, defensive player, and he is developing at a rate like," Gibson told GoBlueWolverine back in May.  "I've never seen a big man develop.  He works so incredibly hard and he is constantly in correspondence with myself and the strength coach that we have got for our team, figuring out ways to get better.  He takes things and he applies them back at school.  He goes to a private school so he has a lot of time to develop his game and he is taking advantage of it."

Plumlee made it clear during the spring that he thought highly of John Beilein's ability to help player's develop their games even further.
"(Michigan) is a great school, one that I would definitely be interested in," Plumlee said.  "Coach Beilein, he's a great guy.  He knows what he is doing."

That he's now visiting proves that those are words he truly believes.

GoBlueWolverine will have more on Plumlee in the hours to come.
