Gloster high on the Wolverines

Two-a-days officially kicked off last Wednesday in the state of Maryland, and Good Counel linebacker Troy Gloster was excited to take the field. GBW caught up with the top MD linebacker after practice to get the latest on his recruitment.

GBW: How did your first day of practice go?

Troy Gloster: "It went great. We (Good Counsel) had fun getting out there finally."

GBW: What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Troy Gloster: "Well, our first game is in San Diego versus Valhalla. Then of course we are always focused on our game versus DeMatha, which is always good."

GBW: What about the recruiting process -- how is that going for you?

Troy Gloster: "It's good. I'm just taking things slowly, trying to sort everything out."

GBW: Have you begun the process of setting up official visits?

Troy Gloster: "No, not yet."

GBW: "When do you think you'll starting setting your visits up?

Troy Gloster: "Probably soon. I just have to sit down with my parents to plan things out."

GBW: "At this point, what schools are really standing out to you?

Troy Gloster: "West Virginia, Stanford, and Michigan. In no order."

GBW: "I know you've been out Stanford, did that visit really impress you?

Troy Gloster: "Yes, it was very nice. The area is nice, and the weather was great!"

GBW: "Have you been to West Virginia yet? If so, how did that visit go?

Troy Gloster: "I was there during spring practice. The coaching staff showed me a lot of love and attention. Everyone seemed liked very nice people."

GBW: What about Michigan? Do you still like the Wolverines? Are they in the mix for an official visit?

Troy Gloster: "They are one of my top schools. I like the tradition and academic prestige. I'm going to talk things over with my parents and there is a possibility of a visit coming up."
