Arnett Experiences "Crazy" UM Environment

The Michigan/ND game proved to be quite memorable for Saginaw WR DeAnthony Arnett. The c/o 2011 standout had been to a few Michigan gamespreviously, but Saturday's experience was unlike any other.

"The atmosphere was crazy down there," Arnett said.  "Everybody was loud.  Everybody was into the game.  It was just a good overall game.  It was way louder what than the two games that I went to last year."

After the game the Michigan coaching staff spent a little face time with the young pass-catcher and they made it very clear how much of a priority he is for the Wolverines in 2011.

"I talked to Coach Jackson after the game and (Chris) Singletary," Arnett recalled."They basically want me to come there.  As a matter of fact, they want me to come down right now."

Despite that persistence Arnett is intent on holding out so he can experience the recruiting process a bit more.

"I have offers from Michigan State, Michigan, Eastern (Michigan) and recently Tennessee," he reported.  "I don't have no favorites or anything like that.  I don't have a (decision) timeline either."

At this point the talented youngster plans to get out and see as many programs as possible so he can get a better feel for the coaches and personnel at each.  In the first two weeks of the season he has already picked up on a few key points at both Michigan and Michigan State.

"(Michigan) played good," Arnett said.  "Their defense really picked it up towards the end because they could not stop Michael Floyd at first.  Tate Forcier, he came in at the end and did his thing."

"(The State visit in week one) was good," he continued.  "They ended up blowing the team out.  They got a quarterback situation down there.  They need to get that situated."

Getting to destinations further away from home will a lot tougher, but Arnett hopes to squeeze in a few more game visits before season's end.  However, because his high school squad off to a 0-3 start, his sole focus at the time being is turning things around for his current team.

"I'm going to take some weeks off and work out, try to get bigger, stronger, and faster," said Arnett.  I‘ll probably end up going to the Tennessee/Georgia game, but I don't know where else yet."
