Woodley's Words: "They assume..."

This is the time that remaining undecided recruits, after months of having coaches and reporters calling them, tend to go into 'hiding mode' from the press to escape the pressure. Still, Saginaw linebacker Lamarr Woodley spoke to us one more pre-Signing-Day time late Sunday night.

After a day of 'just missing' him, late Sunday night I caught up with The Insiders' #2 prospect, linebacker Lamarr Woodley (Dec. 6 official visit, MSU Nike stats: 6-1 1/2, 250 lbs., 4.0 in the shuttle; 4.72 in the 40, 4.0 in the shuttle, 29-inch vertical jump, 315-lb. bench press, 2.9 GPA/16 ACT) from Saginaw, Mich.

The Michigan coaches were at your school a long time Friday. How did things go?

"Coach Carr and Coach Jackson spent most of the day meeting with my parents. My mom got all her questions answered. And they met my father and talked with him."

"They really didn't talk with me too much until we sat down after my basketball game."

Did their meeting with you help you make up your mind?

"Ummm ... nah ... not really."

There were reports yesterday saying you've made up your mind, that you're just not telling until Signing Day.

"Uh uh. They assume that from what I said to them. People assume that."

So have you have already made up your mind?

"Ummm ... no. I'm still a little undecided."

Hey Lamarr, there was also a report from a credible source that you were at the Michigan/Michigan State game Sunday.

"Really? Uh uh. I wasn't there."

Woodley and teammate Jerome Jackson will announce their decisions at a Signing Day press conference.
