"Michigan's not out of it" for Tony Hunt

We just received a call (Wednesday morning) from the uncle of running back/linebacker Tony Hunt from Alexandria, Vir., T. C. Williams.

The uncle of running back/linebacker Tony Hunt (Dec. 13 official visit, 6-2, 225 lbs., Maryland camp stats: 4.52 in the 40, 28 reps of 185 lbs., 33-inch vertical jump) from Alexandria, Vir., T. C. Williams told us:

"I don't know at this point what Tony is going to do, but Michigan is not out of it. It is still Michigan, Penn State, and Maryland. The only thing I can say is that he is weighing all his options. And he doesn't have a set timetable on when he will decide -- it'll just be as soon as he is ready."

"Its Tony's decision. And he wants to sit back and make a stress-free decision. That's why he's not talking to the press himself."

"One other thing, to set the record straight. Tony always did want to take a Penn State trip. And Tony told me that Penn State did not negative-recruit him at his visit there last weekend. They just told them what they can offer him."

Hunt's final official visit was to PSU this past Jan. 24 weekend. He had his Michigan in-home visit Jan. 21, and his other in-homes are finished too. Hunt visited USC Nov. 29 with his coach (a Trojan alum), and also visited Maryland (Dec. 20).

For the season Hunt rushed for 1200 yards (on 200 carries) and 12 touchdowns.
