Wide receiver Morgan Trent (5-11, 175 lbs., 4.4 in the 40) from Orchard Lake, Mich., St. Mary's was an unofficial visitor at the Wisconsin and Iowa games this past fall, after which yours truly spoke briefly to him and his parents -- telling them I'd be calling once the 2003/04 recruiting season started. Little did I know it'd be over so soon for Trent, although the 'Michigan Varsity-type jacket' he wore both times certainly was a tip-off where his alliegence lies!
The Trents moved to Michigan from Las Vegas Morgan's 9th grade year, and he went to Brighton as a freshman before transferring to OLSM. His father Phil played football for Nebraska.
His junior year he finished 2nd in the state Div. II track finals, with a 10.82; his sophomore year he finished 5th with a 10.83.
