First Half Struggles, 19-12 Deficit

Michigan struggled on offense in the first half, scoring only to start and end the stanza. Here are the Drives and Stats.

Carlos Brown returned the kickoff to the U-M 30.
(Brown started at RB, Perry Dorrestein at RT) U-M got a 1st down to the U-M 44.
(Dave Molk hurt his right knee, David Moosman back to OC, Mark Huyge at RG) U-M got a 2nd down to the PSU 44.
(Brandon Minor in) U-M ran for a 3rd 1st down to the PSU 28.
Martavious Odoms caught a screen pass and ran it to the PSU 3.
On the 2nd play Minor ran it in for the TD at the 11:11 mark.

PSU Possession #1
PSU returned the kickoff to their 37.
On the 1st play PSU completed a pass to the U-M 49.
On the next play Royster ran it to the U-M 9.
Two plays later PSU passed for the TD at the 9:17 mark.

Michigan Possession #2
Brown returned the kickoff to the U-M 29.
U-M went 3 and out at the 8:21 mark.

PSU Possession #2
PSU took the Zoltan Mesko punt at their 35.
PSU completed a pass on the 1st play to the U-M 47.
PSU got a 2nd 1st down on a Daryl Clark scramble to the U-M 34.
PSU got a 3rd 1st down to the U-M 23.
After a Brandon Graham TFL on 1st down, the drive stalled and PSU kicked a 34 yard field goal at the 3:58 mark.

PSU 10, Michigan 7

Michigan Possession #3
U-M took the touchback at the U-M 20.
U-M got a 1st down to the U-M 31.
There U-M had to punt at the 1:56 mark.

Mesko punted it to the PSU 37 at the 1:43 mark.
PSU got a 1st down to the U-M 48.

First Quarter Stats
PSU gained 128 yards, 66 passing and 62 rushing.
U-M gained 81 yards, 41 passing and 40 rushing.

There the drive stalled, and PSU had to punt at the 14:19 mark.

After a 2nd TFL by Brandon Graham and a sack by Craig Roh, the drive stalled.
