All-American linebacker Shawn Crable (Dec. 13 official visit, 2002 Michigan camper, 6-6, 225 lbs., 4.74 in the 40, 10.8 100 meters, 3.0 GPA/16 ACT) from Massillon, Ohio, Washington is announcing his Michigan commitment at a press conference at his school right now!
We decided to wait and let Shawn 'have his moment in the sun' and not break the commitment prematurely!
Actually Shawn told us way back at the beginning of the month in San Antonio at the US Army Game that, at the time, it was Michigan for him. But we kept it secret, giving him 'room' to change his mind if that's what he wanted. But, like Prescott Burgess and Lamarr Woodley before him, Crable stayed firm in his pick of the Wolverines -- through extremely difficult pressure.
Welcome Shawn! And what a fitting end to a great Michigan recruiting class! A 'clean sweep of the top Signing Day prospects Michigan was after, and a clean sweep of the Wolverine's top two Ohio recruits as well!
