U-M - Ark-Pine Bluff knotted 32-32 at half

Manny Harris took two shots, but Deshawn Sims stepped up to hit 15 points to lead U-M. Here's the recap, stats.

U-M started the scoring with 2 3-pointers by LLP.

Pint-Bluff made three jumpers in the next stretch to 2 free throws by Darius Morris to make it 8-6 at the 16 minute mark.

Deshawn Sims then hit 2 jumpers but Pine Bluff answered with a jumper and a 3-pointer to make it 12-11 at the 11 minute mark.

At this point Manny Harris was 0 for just 2 shots.

Both teams had a cold stretch (U-M has missed 9 3-pointers after LLP's 1st 2 and was shooting just 20% overall at this point).

Pint-Bluff hit a 3 to take a 14-12 lead at the 8:30 mark.

Both teams then broke into a flurry of scoring. Novak broke U-M's 0-8 stretch with a lay-in, Pint Bluff answered with a lay-in as well, SIms hit a lay-in answered by Pint Bluff as well ... and then Stu Douglas hit a 3-pointer as U-M retook the lead 19-18 at the 7 minute mark.

Then Deshawn Sims went to work, hitting 2 jumpers and a free throw, but Pine Bluff kept answering with 3 jumpers to maintain a 26-24 lead at the 3:45 mark.

Zack Gibson dunked as U-M retook the lead at the 28-17 at the 2:50 mark. But Pine Bluff answered with a 3-pointer to retake the lead 30-28 at the 1:30 mark.

Sims hit a two to tie it 30-all at the 1 minute mark. After a Pine Bluff charge U-M went for the last shot, and Manny Harris was fouled and hit 2 free throws with 4 seconds left.

Pine Bluff hit a jumper as time ran out for a 32-32 tie at the break.

U-M hit just 37.5% of the half, and was 3-14 (20% in 3 pointers). Sims led U- with 15 points.
