Marshall Plumlee isn't afraid to admit that he's still learning.

Plumlee, a 7-foot center out of Arden (N.C.) Christ School, is quite the prospect. Already he's ranked No. 25 overall in the 2011 class, but as his junior season begins he admits there are a handful of things he needs to improve on.

"Part of me wants to come excited and pumped up every game," Plumlee said. "At the same time I need to take it slow and be more efficient with my moves. Sometimes I make moves and ball fakes and I'm not going anywhere or accomplishing anything."

"I'm trying to focus on simplifying my game," he added. "I'm over complicating some things and that's something I can work on."

Strength and confidence are also two areas on Plumlee's mind. He's learned a lot from watching his brothers and he's picking up tips from the Duke standous.

"Just watching them I can see how much strength has helped expand their game," he said. "Miles especially, watching him and the progress he's made at Duke from his freshman year and sophomore year and the big difference is he's not over complicating things. He makes good, strong simple moves and he's doing it with confidence."

This past weekend at the Marshall County Hoopfest, Plumlee was up and down. On Friday he came out sluggish, but on day two he showed why he's ranked so high, as he scored in the paint, rebounded and blocked shows.

Much like his two older brothers, Plumlee is getting plenty of interest from college coaches. Among the schools that have already offered are Notre Dame, Indiana, Minnesota, N.C. State, VA, Ohio State, Purdue, Florida, Duke and Michigan. North Carolina and LSU are recruiting him as well.

"I managed to get in a lot of visits before I got to Christ School," Plumlee said. "Now I'm at Chris School and school work is killer to go along with all of the basketball, so I don't hop around schools much or talk to the coaches as much."

"Prior to school, Plumlee took unofficial visits to Indiana, Northwestern, Michigan, Florida, Duke and Purdue. After taking a number of visits, Plumlee is starting to think about narrowing down his college list.

"I'm thinking about narrowing down my list sometime in the near future," he said. "Some schools I've gotten the most familiar with and have a good relationship with the coaches would have to be Michigan, Virginia, Florida, IU, Duke and Northwestern."

Plumlee, a five-star prospect, doesn't have a timetable on his college decision.
