Sam Webb: Tell me how your season went last year.
Prince Holloway: "My season was real good. I finished with 26 catches and 600 yards with 13 touchdowns, really counted for seven though, but I had made 13 but finished with seven. Between punt return and kick off and did lots of things to help the team win."
Sam Webb: You said you made 13 but you only finished with seven; how is that?
Prince Holloway: "You know how you get a touchdown and they call it back with penalties and everything."
Sam Webb: I got you. Did you play any defense?
Prince Holloway: "Yeah I played defense. I had three interceptions."
Sam Webb: When did you first start hearing from Michigan?
Prince Holloway: "I first started hearing from Michigan with letters all the time, but I never actually talked to any of the coaches until I finally got the offer last Wednesday on signing day. My god brother Jaylen (Watkins) and Jeremy Davis and (Dan) Koenig was signing off to their schools and everything and I was sitting in the auditorium in this audience and I got a paper saying that I got an offer from Michigan."
Sam Webb: So it sounds like something you weren't expecting then.
Prince Holloway: "Actually I really wasn't expecting it. It was a real blessing from Michigan because I did not expect to have an offer from Michigan and also this soon."
Sam Webb: So who else do you have offers from right now?
Prince Holloway: "I do not have any others right now I believe. I haven't been to school today. I only think I have Michigan, but after I get back to school I'll know if I have any more."
Sam Webb: What other schools are you hearing from right now?
Prince Holloway: "I was hearing from Tennessee, Florida State. I've been down to Florida a couple of times. I get letters from Boston College, letters from Cincinnati. I just received an invite to junior day at UCF, USF. I'm getting mostly everybody. I'm hearing from Oregon too."
Sam Webb: Lets talk about distance. Have you always wanted to stay in Florida to play your college football or are you possibly looking to get away and go somewhere else?
Prince Holloway: "I'm hoping to get a chance to get out to Oregon. I'd really like to get out there of wherever."
Sam Webb: It is not the case that you definitely want to play your college football in Florida then?
Prince Holloway: "I could go anywhere. I like to see other places. If it came down from me to stay home, I could stay home, but if I got the chance to go somewhere else and see other things, I'd like to do that."
Sam Webb: Tell me about yourself. Is it true what they say about your speed? What are you like off of the field?
Prince Holloway: "With the speed thing, it's all true. I recently ran a 4.4 on a laser just a couple of days ago at a Nike Combine. Off the field, I'm a responsible person. I help out my mom when she needs anything or in the public. I train after school and with my cousin to get better. Also train with my teammates and help my team get better. My academics are actually good. My academics are real good. I'm keeping my head up because my brother and my fried, they both graduated early and Jaylen. So I had to make sure that I had my thing together so I could do the same as them. So school is very good."
Sam Webb: What are you looking for in a school? What are going to be things when you go out and compare all these schools that are going to set one school apart from all the rest?
Prince Holloway: "I like to see great facilities and how the coaches care about the student academics and the students on the field. I really like when I went down to Florida with my god brother, actually told him that he would have to see a tutor every day and his tutor would be with him everywhere he goes. I really like how they do all that and I like to see how the town is, if it is a good time to spend the rest of the four years and things like that."
Sam Webb: What about your timetable? You obviously have some teammates who've been through the process. Do you have in your mind how long you want this process to last?
Prince Holloway: "I seen a couple of people commit late and a couple of people commit early and what I learned is that when you commit early you got to know what you're doing, take your visit and know everything about the school that you going to instead of just saying I really like them since I was young and I want to pick this school. It depends on if I get what I want or get what I need and within that time I'll commit whenever I have what I need and what I want. Whenever I'm set and have all my things in to actually commit and I won't have to worry about anything, that's the time I'll commit. I'm not really sure on that one."
Sam Webb: It sounds like from talking to you that you're real close with your mom. ; How does she feel about things? Does she want you to stay close?
Prince Holloway: "Yeah she really supports me with the football thing. If I was to go out far, she may come with me or she may stay home. If I was to go somewhere in Florida, she'd come with me, she'd move. If it's real cold, she's not going to come. She is a Floridian. She is not going to move anywhere that's too cold. She'll always keep in touch with me."
Sam Webb: As a Florida guy, how do you feel about the cold? Is the weather going to be a factor for you in your decision?
Prince Holloway: "Not really. I've been to places where it's been cold and I'm not really a cold guy. You won't be in the cold all the time and plus you'll have things to keep you warm. It wouldn't be a bad thing to go up north and play because you're not going to be outside in the wind all day so it really did not matter."
Sam Webb: You said that is Michigan the first school to offer you. What does that do for them? How do you feel about Michigan at this point?
Prince Holloway: "I feel really good about Michigan. They've got two young quarterbacks. If I go up and play at a receiver spot. They got a good coaching staff. Rich Rodriguez has a great coaching staff behind him. They building a very good program. I'd love to get into their offense. There is no big question on why I would go to Michigan; they have a great offense and they've got young players and you got to look at your things like that. You got two young players that you can play with."
Sam Webb: Is all of the Florida players on Michigan's roster that something that you've taken notice of?
Prince Holloway: "Yeah I took notice of that. I just heard about Demar Dorsey. The quarterback (Denard Robinson)… his 4x100 raced against my 4x100 last year at states last year in track. He's a real good person. I really like them. They really fast and everything, smart and they play their cards right."
