Despite an incredible recruiting class in 2003, one area that Michigan failed to sign a single recruit was at the wide receiver position. They have already landed a verbal commitment from WR/DB Morgan Trent, but wide receiver will remain a position of focus for the current recruiting class. If Trent ends up at defensive back, expect Michigan to sign two more wide receivers for 2004.
While Michigan has traditionally looked for tall wide receivers, when the 2004 class enters as freshman, Braylon Edwards will begin his senior year as the team's only receiver taller than 6-2. To fill that void, the Wolverines have made an early push to recruit Adrian Arrington, from Cedar Rapids, IA (George Washington HS).
GoBlueWolverine reached Adrian Arrington, who measures in at 6-4, 180 pounds, while running the forty in 4.4 seconds. The Iowa standout also carries a 3.5 GPA (no test). Arrington filled us in on where Michigan stands at this early point in the recruiting process.
