Sims & Harris Share MVP Honors

Deshawn Sims and Manny Harris and led the way as award recipients at the 49th Annual Michigan Basketball Awards Celebration yesterday. Sims received the MVP honor, and then mimicking a gesture from last year, decided that Harris was just as deserving and should receive it as well.

Deshawn Sims shared the team MVP for the second time in his Michigan career at the program's annual basketball banquet held yesterday. The senior forward registered a career highs in points (16.8), led the team in rebounding (7.6), and also took home the team Iron Man Award.

Harris, who also earned the Gary Grant Award for Most Assists (4.1) and the award for oustanding free throw shooting (80%), led Michigan in scoring last season (18.1 points per game) and earned third team All Big Ten Honors.
