That the four-star pass-catcher has already ventured so far away from home on the visit trail confirms the seriousness comments made by he and his dad about distance being a minor factor in his recruitment. That bodes well for many on Flowers' long list of suitors.
"I have 41 offers right now," Flowers said. "I haven't narrowed my list down yet, but I plan on narrowing it down this summer."
While it's clear that the talented wideout has yet to establish a leader board, there are a few schools that have been already singled out as definite visit destinations. Michigan is among them.
"It is still the plan (to visit Ann Arbor), but right now it is looking like it is going to be the summertime," Flowers reported. "I really just want to take a visit (instead of attend camp). I just want to tour the campus."
One of Flowers' prime objectives during that and other visits is to get a better feel for the academic offerings at each school. In the meantime he plans to do as much information gathering from afar on the topic as he can.
"I've started (researching the academics reputations) a little bit, but I haven't really gotten a chance to check everybody out yet," he said. "I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to check everybody out though."
"Academics will definitely be a big factor."
GoBlueWolverine will have more on Flowers in the coming months.
