Michigan still on Yruretagoyena's Mind

Scottsdale (AZ) Chaparral OL Andre Yruretagoyena is piling up the offers, and while he claims no favorites, Michigan has done a good job of establishing a strong early position in his recruitment. GoBlueWolverine chatted with the versatile lineman about the latest in his recruitment, his feelings on Michigan, and more.

As a youngster that didn't always know his recruitment would be such a crowded affair, Scottsdale (AZ) Chaparral OL Andre Yruretagoyena has come to appreciate every aspect of the process.

"I really like to get to know the coaches, and so having the chance to meet them is really cool," Yruretagoyena said.  "It is helping me to understand the process more."

The explosive lineman has seen his scholarship tally balloon to 16 with offers USC, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington and Michigan just to name of few. At the moment he is content to take his time with handling his recruitment.

"I have talked with Coach Barry from USC, and I visited Arizona State for their Junior Day," Yruretagoyena stated.  "I have been real busy.  I had a chance to take my SAT last Saturday.  We have spring football practice so I have a lot going on right now."

One of the constants in Chaparral star's recruitment is Michigan's strong standing, and that has a lot to do with former teammates Taylor Lewan and Craig Roh.  Yruretagoyena's frequent conversations with Lewan in particular have helped him gain a better feel for what the Maize & Blue have to offer, but he still desires to learn more.

"I have always wanted to see Michigan," he said.  "I would like to talk with the coaches more, so I need to start calling them. I do know that Michigan will be one of my official visits when I take them."

There was speculation that he might visit Michigan's football camp and he told us, "I will not be able to visit there for camp. I will see them in the fall though."

Yruretagoyena will be narrowing his list soon so he can focus on the schools he plans to visit.
