Stauskas Reflects on Michigan Visit

Nick aka "White Chocolate" Stauskas made the trek up to Ann Arbor to take in the Michigan campus and meet with John Beilein and his staff. Nick discussed the trip with GBW.

Nick Stauskas had a chance to see many things on his visit to the University of Michigan, but what he had a chance to see inside Crisler Arena is what stood out to him most.

"Their team practice is what I really liked," he told GoBlueWolverine. "I noticed how they like to shoot threes, and they spend a lot of time on fundamentals at practice. I feel like I could really fit in well there."

The Michigan staff has been to see Stauskas play which has shown their interest in him, so it was no surprise the attention they showed him on his visit.

"The whole coaching staff was with me when I toured the campus to see what things are like," he said. "Up there it was nice. Michigan's academic facilities are nice. My mom likes the focus  they place on academics. It is a place where you could succeed."

The staff also presented to Nick what the future looks like for Michigan's facilities in Ann Arbor.

"The arena will be very impressive -- they mentioned that by the time I come up it will be finished."

So was he offered by Coach Beilein?

"No I was not offered," he said. "Michigan said they would continue to recruit me and come and see me play. I am going to take a look at a few more schools and go from there."

Talking with Nick Stauskas it is pretty clear what he likes.

"I really like the school. I could see myself going to the University of Michigan and fitting in up there. I have a good feeling about the City of Ann Arbor."
