The Wolverines led most of the first three-quarters of the game, but then went stone-cold in the last half of the second half -- scoring just two baskets in the final 9:30, one on the final few seconds. And just like that, the game and the season were over.
LaVell Blanchard led Michigan in his last game as a Wolverine with 21 points (14 in the first half) and six rebounds. Michigan's freshman start point guard Daniel Horton gamely played 34 minutes on an ankle sprain he suffered Thursday night, but wore down noticably towards the end.
