I predict that we have a new version of lightning next year. We had made some minor improvements from the pic above up to last year... and this year scrapped it for something that looks like a demonic horse of the apocolypse. Maybe that's what they were going for?...

Whatever the monstrosity at the Miss. State game was this year needs to go. I had State fans walking down and asking me what in the world was going on.
The press conference before the MSU game was like a funeral. I think the team was really down and they played like it. Actually, I would say the offense played like it. The D played great for a half. The O turned it over and left the D out to dry. Naturally we are gonna get chopped when that happens.
FIU does have a good D but we put 34 on that D. We let their O put 30 on us of course but we moved the ball.
WKU has a great D no doubt but for some reason, we seem to matchup well against them. I think the WKU vs Troy game is a good indicator of what type of game we can expect. I think they will open up their playbook. FIU brought pressure and it worked. We need to bring pressure. Jakes has improved a great deal but he tends to overthrow when pressured. What I love about WKU's game plan is that their O shifts a lot before the snap and they play head games when they do it. What I hate about our D is that they get out of position a lot and this WKU offensive strategy works perfectly against an undisciplined D. FIU didn't fall for it and was successful. I hope we are.
The key to this game is really our D, can we slow down their running game and get some turnovers. If our D plays like they have been our only chance is to win a shootout. Defense wins championships, we don't have much of a D which is disappointing with two bit DT's, we really are no better than in years past.
