It was a dream season for Middle Tennessee basketball. The Blue Raiders rode into the Sun Belt Tournament with a first round bye and dreams of their first NCAA appearance since the Berlin Wall fell. Unfortunately, much like that damn wall, the dream fell apart.

Middle Tennessee's Feb. 4 contest at Denver has been selected by ESPN as the Sun Belt's wildcard men's basketball game, the network announced today. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m. CT, a change from the originally scheduled 5 p.m. CT start, and the game will air nationally on either ESPN or ESPN2. The station will be finalized 7-10 days prior to the contest.

The Patriots recently claimed their fifth straight championship and extended their MAIS win streak to an impressive 77 games.
