Camp Reaction: Chase Coleman

After being impressed with at Middle Tennessee's Spring game, Milton High School's Chase Coleman headed back to Murfreesboro this past weekend. The only difference is this time it was his turn to impress.

Chase Coleman Profile

"I think I played really well. I definitely started off the camp season real well, especially in the one-on-one competition" Coleman tells BRZ of his performance on Sunday. "I felt like I did well and shut down the wide receivers."

Apparently the Blue Raider coaching staff felt very similar. Coleman tells us that secondary coach David Bibee and defensive coordinator Steve Ellis were both very complimentary of his performance.

"I got to talk to Coach Ellis and he said he really liked what he saw and what I was doing," Coleman says. "Coach Bibee recruits my area. He said that they're going to sit down and evaluate my film and he'd be giving me a call sometime soon to talk to me."

The talented cornerback prospect is still waiting for his first offer, and he'll be attending several more camps in the coming weeks to try to make that happen.

"I'm heading down to Miami on Sunday and then I'm going to UCF the week after that for a team camp," he says. "I might be heading to Tennessee in July and maybe Arizona State in July."

Spring Results

After a strong Spring that culminated in a great performance in Milton's annual Spring game, several programs stepped up their communications with Coleman. He tells us that UAB, UCLA and Tennessee have all started to come on a lot stronger since seeing his Spring film.

BlueRaiderZone will be keeping tabs on Chase as he keeps working his way through the camp season.
