Lady Raiders:Old Dominion vs Middle Tennessee

The Lady Raiders look to add to their 5 game winning streak when they take on former Sun Belt Conference member Old Dominion.

Old Dominion (3-5, 0-0) vs. MTSU (8-3, 2-0)

Time/Place: 7:00/ Murphy Center Murfreesboro, TN

About Old Dominion: The Monarchs were previously affiliated with the Sun Belt Conference before making a move to the Colonial Athletic Association in 1991. They won the Sun Belt Championship 5 different times and captured a national title in 1985, while still a member of the Sun Belt.

The Monarchs have a storied history in which they have made 23 NCAA post season appearances sine 1970.

This year has not been very kind to Old Dominion. They come into Murfreesboro sporting a 3-5 record. Head Coach Wendy Larry has seen her team struggle on the road so far this year and hopes to right the ship in Murfreesboro.

Who to watch: T.J. Jordan is the player to watch on the Old Dominion side of the court. The 5-8 junior is leading the team in points averaging 15.9 point/game.

6-2 forward Tiffany Green is another player to watch. Green is averaging over 7 points and 7 rebounds/game.

Keys for Middle Tennessee: The Lady Raiders need to keep applying that patented Blue Raider pressure. Old Dominion is coming off a game where they turned the ball over 32 times against Charlotte. Expect Coach Rick Insell to apply a lot of pressure to the front court of the Monarchs. If successful, the Lady Raiders should score a lot of fast break points.

Three's not a crowd: The Lady Raiders scored on 16 3-point baskets in their last outing. Look for more long range shots from Insell's squad.
