The Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State take their 13 game winning streak into Arkansas to take on the Trojans from Arkansas-Little Rock. The Blue Raiders sport a 16-3 record to go along with a perfect 8-0 record in the conference. The Trojans limp into this game on a three game losing streak and a record of 12-7 overall and 5-4 inside the SunBelt conference. All indications point to UALR extending their losing streak to 4 games.

Who to watch for University of Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans

The Trojans are a tale of two teams. Three games ago, they lose their top player in Jocelyn Love. Prior to that game they were averaging 66 points per game and were considered a contender, after that game they are averaging a meager 41.3 points per game and are struggling to keep up in the Sun Belt. The upside for Arkansas-Little Rock is that their two leading scorers are freshmen. They are led by a pair of 5'10" freshman guards by the names of Kim Sitzman and Anshel Cooper. Kim averages 13.1 points per game while Anshel is right behind her at 10.1 points per game. Their leading rebounder is Nikya Hughes, who averages 8.1 rebounds per game. As a team, they average 33 rebounds per game along with 16 turnovers per game. However, most of these stats are including their senior leader, Jocelyn Love, whose career is over after an injury a week ago. This team is coached by Joe Foley who has a 33-51 record in three seasons at the helm of the Trojans.

Who to watch for the #20 Blue Raiders

Thursday night's game proved that the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders do not have to hit 10-15 three point shots to win a game. Chrissy Givens and Amber Holt should have a field day with an inside that is very young on this team. After taking the ball from a very good Arkansas State team 37 times on Thursday night, the Raiders should have no problem hitting that number again on Saturday with two freshman at the helm. If Jackie Pickel, Johnna Abney, and Brandi Brown are on their game, this game should be well in hand by halftime.
