Bold Prediction #1- The attendance will be in excess of 25,000.
Look for a large crowd in attendance at Floyd Stadium. Tennessee and Vanderbilt do not play on Saturday so the Blue Raiders will be in the spotlight. KidsFest will draw in a great crowd. The general public will be excited to see the Blue Raiders host their 2nd ACC foe in successive years. Everyone remembers to close Virginia game and they will be expecting another exciting game.
Don't forget, last year's Virginia game took place after the Blue Raiders lost to Western Kentucky at home.
Bold Prediction #2- Middle Tennessee will have a 100 yard receiver.
Look for the Blue Raiders to open up the passing game. With newcomers Sancho McDonald and Malcolm Beyah stepping up in their first game, the Blue Raiders will go to the air more. Look for one of the receivers to surpass the 100 yard mark.
Bold Prediction #3- The Blue Raiders will be perfect from the Red Zone.
Red Zone scoring was a problem against Troy. The Blue Raiders had 10 days to work out the kinks. Look for the Blue Raiders to be perfect from the Red Zone. Be on the lookout for more passing plays from inside the 10. Red Zone scoring hampered the Blue Raiders last week, but this week it will be the key to victory.
Bold Prediction #4- Middle Tennessee will give up less than 125 yards rushing.
Maryland ran all over Delaware last Saturday, but look for the Blue Raider defense to step up to the challenge. Run defense will be the focus this week. The Blue Raiders will shut down the Terrapins run game and force them to become one dimensional.
Bold Prediction #5- The Blue Raiders will upset the Terrapins.
At BRZ we have never apologized for being homers, but we are predicting the Blue Raiders upset the Terrapins. Look for a close, exciting game with Middle Tennessee finding a way to squeak out the win. Our prediction: Maryland 14, Middle Tennessee 24.
