Middle Tennessee junior Alysha Clark entered the game as the nation's 2nd leading scorer and she did not disappoint. Clark set a new Blue Raider record scoring 50 points on 20-28 shooting and 10-11 from the free throw line. Clark's 50 points also tied a Sun Belt Conference record for points in a single game.
Brandi Brown was the only other Blue Raider to reach double digits with 10 points.
Coach Rick Insell had much praise for Clark's effort but was quick to point out the contributions of Clark's teammates, "The rest of the kids did a great job of getting the ball to Alysha in scoring position." He was also very complimentary of the Trojans, "I knew this would be a tough game. Troy has been playing very well and they have beaten some really good teams".
The Blue Raiders extended their win streak to 16 games to go 21-4 overall and 13-0 in the Sun Belt.
Troy was led in scoring by Brittnie Davis with 22 and Kylie Morrissy added 14. Troy dropped tp 11-13 overall and 6-8 in the Sun Belt.
