Blue Raiders announce 2010 football schedule

Two nationally televised games and two big conference foes highlight Middle Tennessee's 2010 football schedule, which was released earlier this morning.

Middle Tennessee will kick off the 2010 season on Thursday, Sept. 2 when they host Minnesota. The Golden Gophers will be the first Big 10 team to visit Floyd Stadium. On Oct. 16, the Blue Raiders will travel to Atlanta, Ga. to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, of the ACC. Last season, Middle Tennessee split their matchups against ACC foes. The team lost their season opener at Clemson before winning in a thrilling fashion at Maryland.

The Blue Raiders also boast two appearances on ESPN2 in 2010. Middle Tennessee will host defending conference champions Troy on Oct. 5 before travelling to Jonesboro, Ark. on Nov. 2 for another conference match-up.
