Rexroad chooses Middle Tennessee

Rick Stockstill and staff added the third commitment for the 2011 class today in the form of Myrtle Beach's Jason Rexroad.

Jason Rexroad Profile

The 6-4, 265 lb. lineman and his father made an impromptu visit to Middle Tennessee last week after taking in a camp at Tennessee. Following the camp on Wednesday, the pair decided to head to Murfreesboro and see what the Blue Raiders had to offer.

"Right when I got there Coach Coleman walked me into the weight room and Coach Stephens was there," Rexroad says. "We talked for about 20 minutes in the weight room and he told me as far as he was concerned I had an offer. He just had to approve it with Coach Stock."

Rexroad's conversations with the staff didn't stop there. He says he spent about 45 minutes talking with offensive coordinator Mike Schultz and watching game film. After that, he met with Coach Stock who affirmed that he was pretty sure he had an offer, but wanted to watch the film. Rexroad followed up with Stockstill earlier this afternoon and as soon as he received his scholarship offer, he commited to play his college ball for Middle Tennessee.

Check back with BRZ tomorrow for more from Rexroad and his father on his decision.
