Two Gophers made their first start for the Maroon and Gold against Wisconsin and Adam Weber continues to rise up Big Ten career passing record charts.


Two Gophers made their first career starts against Wisconsin on Saturday. Sophomore strong side linebacker Ryan Grant started in place of Mike Rallis and finished with four tackles.

Sophomore cornerback Kyle Henderson started in place on Michael Carter finished with a career high 11 tackles.

Sophomore cornerback Michael Carter was supposed to start Saturday but did not make the trip to Madison with a toe injury.

Stat Update:

Quarterback Adam Weber took sole possession of No. 5 spot in the Big Ten for career completions with 798. Weber also reached the 800-career completions mark with just under two minutes to play in the second quarter. He now has 806 for his career.


The Gophers wore white helmets of the first time since the 2006 season. Look for them to wear the white helmets again this week when they travel to West Lafayette and take on Purdue. The idea to wear white helmets was coach Tim Brewster's idea to try and spark the team to victory.

Minnesota lost its 16th consecutive match up with a ranked opponent and its second of the season.

The Gophers are now 0-10 against ranked opponents under Brewster.
