The Colonels shot 55.7 percent (34-of-61) from the field and a season-high 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the behind the arc.

Home Sweet Home: Eastern Kentucky has two players on its roster that will be returning to their home state of Minnesota – senior Justin Stommes and freshman Taylor Filipek. Stommes a preseason All-OVC pick, became the 30th EKU player to reach 1,000 career points.

About the Coach: Jeff Neubauer is in his sixth season at EKU where he has compiled a record of 92-74. Prior to becoming the head coach at Eastern Kentucky, Neubauer spent three seasons on John Beilien's staff at West Virginia.

Series History: Minnesota and Eastern Kentucky have played each other only once. The Gophers defeated the Colonels 61-59 at Williams Arena at the beginning of the 1977-78 season.
