Jones, Levine Commit to ‘U'

Athlete Marcus Jones out of Wake Forest (NC) and safety prospect Grayson Levine from Eden Prarie (MN) gave verbal pledges to head coach Jerry Kill this weekend on their official visits to Minnesota. The Gophers sit at 17 total commitments with the addition of Jones and Levine.

The 5-foot-8, 162-pound Jones finished the 2010 season with 797 yards rushing on 98 carries (an 8.1 per carry average) and 19 touchdowns. He helped lead his team to the state championship game, where Butler High defeated them. Jones led the team with 57 yards rushing and added 92 yards in kickoff returns. As a defensive back he recorded an interception.

Grayson Levine
Eden Prairie's Grayson Levine is a stand out two-way player but projects as a safety for the Maroon and Gold. The 6-foot, 190-pounder finished his senior season with 46 tackles and three interceptions and led the Eagles to a 9-2 record.
