Arizona JUCO Receiver on Gopher Radar

Ge'Shun Harris recently talked to incoming Gopher coaching staff and hopes to hear back from the staff after they have reviewed his footage. The JUCO receiver is high on Minnesota and would love join the Gophers this January if he is offered.

Ge'Shun Harris, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound wide receiver from Arizona Western CC in Yuma Arizona, recently caught the attention of the new Gopher coaching staff.

"They said that they were going to evaluate my film and that they were going to get back to me soon." Harris said.

The December grad is being recruited by numerous non-BCS and FCS teams, but is hoping for an offer from the Gophers.

"I got about nine or ten offers right now. Middle Tennessee--I just cam from a visit [there], Memphis just recently offered me, Arkansas State, New Mexico State, Utah State, San Diego State, UMass." Harris said. "Minnesota is coming along. I will sign, hands down [on a Minnesota offer]. That's big time right there."

Harris walked on at Arizona State but ended up at Arizona Western where he had 31 receptions for 620 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2009 and had 49 receptions for 625 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2010. The receiver feels that he uses his body well and can make plays after the catch.

"I use my size to my advantage. I can go up and get the ball real well and I can make plays after I get the ball in my hands." He said.
