"Well originally I was committed at NIU. And when I found out that coach Kill was taking the job at Minnesota I knew I wanted to be apart of that.
"I really felt good about coach Kill at NIU and the O-line coach, coach Limegrover. They were the main reason why I wanted to go to Minnesota. Also I really like the city and I have a couple friends who go to Minnesota and they love it there."
What about Coach Kill made you want to follow him to Minnesota?
"Just his overall coaching philosophy of not doing anything too flashy, just working hard. I also know that he cares about his players a lot and wants us to be successful people and football players. I have a lot of respect for him."
Talk about your relationship with coach Limegrover...Whats it going to be like playing for him?
"I also have a lot of respect for Coach Limegrover. He's been the main coach in my recruiting at NIU and Minnesota. I think playing for him is going to be great. I feel like he knows when its time to work hard and when its time to have fun. He's a very smart guy and knows a lot about football. I think he'll bring out the best in me."
What are your personal or team goals for next season at Minnesota?
"Personally I'd like to hit it hard in the weight room and just bulk up so that when its time for me step up and play I'll be the best I can be physically."
What are your plans for NSD? Are you doing anything at your school?
"There are three other guys in my class also signing that day so I'm pretty sure we're going to have a pretty big signing day at my school. I'm very excited to sign."
Any idea what you're going to major in at Minnesota?
"Yeah either Sports Management or Kinesiology."
