Prep Career

In 2010 Williams recorded 57 tackles and one interception. At quarterback he ran for 1268 yards and 18 touchdowns. Williams was named to the All-State First Team and Kare 11 All-Metro Punter.

In 2009 Williams recorded 90 tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss.


Williams has been invited to the Minnesota and Wisconsin junior days. Recently he attended the Iowa junior day.

When asked about his impression of Iowa—Williams said, "I thought coach Ferentz is a great coach who cares for his players."

When asked about what position Coaches have spoken to him about playing Williams said, "Tight end and also H-back."

Williams listed his top choices as Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.

When asked if he had any favorite Williams said "No, I want to keep an open mind. My dad and uncle were Gophers so I will consider that, but I want to try and make my own decision."

Asked if he plays any other sports Williams said, "No I'm focusing everything on football."

Williams is the son of former Gopher center Brian Williams who played for the New York Giants from 1989-1999.
