Bjorklund Visits Gophers' Spring Practice

GoldenSports.net caught up with Rosemount (Minn.) and Gopher signee Joe Bjorklund following his Tuesday visit to watch Minnesota's spring practice.

"The one thing that stood out to me tremendously was how the coaches wouldn't just scream at the guys, they would stop them and tell them what they did wrong and tell them what they need to do to fix it," Bjorklund said.

"It was more like they were teaching them more in the process of coaching—I really liked the intensity. I also learned some things but I think it wont make a difference until I'm actually suited with the coaches and I can rep it with them."

The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder enrolls at Minnesota in late June but he is already preparing himself this spring for the rigors of college football.

"I am using the lifting program that Coach Klein sent me in replacement of the track workout," Bjorklund said. "I kind of do a mixture of both workouts but mainly the Minnesota one."

Bjorklund mentioned he will try to attend another Gopher practice and stated he would "for sure" be at the spring game on April 23 at TCF Bank Stadium.
