Drake Michaelson Spring Practice Thoughts

Eden Prairie (Minn.) linebacker Drake Michaelson attended the Golden Gophers' football practice on Thursday. Goldensports.net was able to talk with him and find out what he thought of the practice.

"I started out around some graduate assistants because the coaches were busy with practice, but when it was over I talked to and shook hands with defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys," Michaelson said. "Then after that Andrew Larson and I talked to linebackers coach Bill Miller for about ten minutes. Coach Kill came over and talked to us for about a minute."

While talking with the coaches Michaelson discussed his plans about attending camps, the spring game, his weight room progress and height and weight.

Here's what Michaelson had to say about practice, "I really liked Coach Kill's enthusiasm that's definitely something that popped out. When I watched Coach Miller he was completely serious but he was also having a lot of fun.

"He was smiling during practice and having fun with the players while at the same time he was coaching them and getting on them and making them get better. I really like that coaching style, he has a sense of humor while doing it, it was good, the weather could have been better."

Michaelson is unsure if he will be attending the spring game on April 23rd but he will be attending the Iowa spring game this coming weekend.
