Larson Likes High-Tempo Offense

Eden Prairie (Minn.) running back Andrew Larson attended the Minnesota Gophers' spring game. GoldenSports.Net was able to talk to him about his visit.

"It was really good," Larson said of the spring game. I went with a couple of friends and we really liked what we saw. The defense looked really productive. I liked what Duane Bennett and DeLeon Eskridge were doing, they were running hard and taking advantage of their blocks."

What was his favorite part of the spring game?

"I just kind of liked to see how the first-team offense ran," he said. "I liked the high-tempo offense and how the big offensive line was opening up holes for the running backs that's what I like to see."

While at the game Larson was able to catch up with some friends and other Gopher recruits.

"I'm friends with Kendrik Brewster and talked to him for a while and the other guys from Cretin are cool guys. And I hung out with David Platner from Eden Prairie who's going to be walking on."

Larson also picked up his first offer from South Dakota State University last week.

"I took a visit there two Saturday's ago and talked to the head coach for about fifty minutes in his office and he liked my film and offered."
