Kelton Brackett Receives Gopher Offer

One of the newest prospects to receive an offer from the Gophers is Kelton Brackett out of Pritchard, Alabama. GoldenSports.net caught up with Bracket to chat about his newest offer.

Brackett, a 5-foot-11 cornerback out of Alabama recently received a verbal offer from the University of Minnesota. "It feel real good to know Minnesota offered me," he said.

Brackett has not been in much contact with the Gophers but when his coaches told him to call Minnesota he knew it must have been good news. "My coach told me to give them a call," he said. He talked with defensive back coach Jay Sawvel and said it was a big surprise to get an offer from the Gophers.

With offers from Florida International, Louisville, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, South Alabama, and Western Kentucky, Brackett already has plenty of options for college.

He lists his favorite schools as Louisville, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Auburn, and Florida State but said he would be "very interested" in visiting Minnesota this summer, although no concrete plans have been made.

What will this Alabama athlete bring to his future team? "Excitement, swag, [a] play-maker, and [a] game-changer," said Brackett.

"I just like having fun and playing football," he said. "If you don't have confidence of what you are doing on the field why play the game of football?"
