Mollberg Close to Landing More Offers

Detroit Lakes (Minn.) quarterback Joe Mollberg may be closing in on two more offers. Go inside to find out what teams may be on the verge of offering the 6-foot-2, 207-pounder.

"Michigan State has called a few times and I've gotten written letters from Air Force and Michigan," Mollberg said. "NIU and Iowa have come in to visit along with the schools I have offers from."

"I just got off Skype with the Iowa offensive coordinator. I've been talking to them quite a bit lately. We just talked about family and what not. I am going to their camp on the 18th and I believe I'll be going in a day before to spend some time 1-on-1. So if I do well I'm hoping an offer will come."

Iowa recently made the 6-foot-2, 207-pounder a priority after evaluating him in person this spring.

"I was in their top five, since they watched me throw I believe I'm in their top two," Mollberg said. "I know they really like how fast I can get the ball out. They like the fact I can run and throw and that I have good size."

Aside from attending a camp at Iowa, Mollberg also plans to attend a camp at Northern Illinois this summer.

"I'm going to NIU's camp as well," he said. "They have told me I'm everything they're looking for—so I guess we will just see how it goes at camp."
