Morrison's Recruitment Heating Up

One of the top recruits who has shown interest in Minnesota is Antonio Morrison of Bolingbrook High School (Ill.). Morrison has offers from some of the top programs in the country but is still open to Minnesota. caught up with Morrison to discuss the latest on his busy recruitment.

"It's going pretty good," said Morrison of his recruitment. "I like how my recruiting is going."

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker has reason to be pleased with the process due to the fact that he currently holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Miami, Oregon, and Tennessee among many others.

Along with a growing number of offers, Morrison has seen a large number of coaches stop by his school during the spring evaluation period.

"We've had at least 25 coaches come through between April and May," he said. "The most recent were Tennessee, Oregon, and Florida," added Morrison.

"I'm going to visit Oregon and Florida for sure," said Morrison of his summer plans.

Although he has been receiving interest from some of the most storied programs in the country, Morrison is still interested in Minnesota. "Late April Coach Zebrowski came through," he said. "Me and Coach Z have a great relationship," Morrison added.

Early in the recruiting process, Morrison listed Minnesota, Florida and Vanderbilt as his favorites but he now says he is open to any school. "I'm still open to anyone," he said.
