As a sophomore Robinson had 51 receptions for 768 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named All-Conference Honorable Mention. As a junior he recorded nearly 900 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns.
"I have been in contact with Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wyoming and Princeton," Robinson said.
Although Minnesota coaches didn't visit him during the evaluation period, he was able to meet the new coaching staff this spring at practice.
"I went to one of the spring practices and saw how things were run," he said. "I liked how the practice was fast paced, and they took things serious.
"Also I got to talk to most of the coaches as well. I felt like coach Jerry Kill backed up a lot of what he said and is planning on going through with what he says he wants to do. He seems like a good coach."
Robinson has a return visit to Minnesota planned this summer along with trips to Iowa State, Iowa and Colorado.
"I want to see if they have a good education," he said when asked what he will be looking for when he visits. "If they have an architecture program—I'd like to design football facilities. If they have good facilities and good coaches."
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound wide receiver has been diligently preparing this spring to improve on the football field next fall.
"I'm working mainly on my speed—working hard in track," Robinson said. "This year my best time was an 11.6 in the 100 meters. I think I will run an 11.4 or lower next meet.
"I'm also trying to gain weight and get bigger muscle wise as well. I've been practicing a lot on my route running too."
