One Midwest prospect who has had an eventful spring is Pike High School (Ind.) athlete Pierre Aka. Aka is a versatile player who is being recruiting by multiple schools to play tight end, defensive tackle, or defensive end. GoldenSports.net was able to learn Aka's plans on making summer visits to schools he is interested in.

Aka, a 6-foot-4, 253-pound athlete out of Indiana is one of the most versatile players in the region. An aspiring nuclear engineer as well as a top tight end and defensive end, Aka has seen a number of schools evaluate him this spring.

He lists Minnesota, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Nebraska and Iowa as teams who made a stop at Pike High School to watch Aka. The multidimensional athlete holds offers from the likes of Marshal, Toledo, and Northern Illinois among others.

With a ton of interest this spring, Aka is looking to have a busy summer attending camps to earn a few more offers.

"I'm going to Cincinnati, Purdue, Mississippi State, Notre Dame and I'm planning others," said Aka. He is hopeful that his performance at these camps will lead to an increase to his offer list.

One team that Aka has been in contact with throughout his recruitment is the Golden Gophers of Minnesota.

"I'm interested," said Aka of his interest in Minnesota. "I'm just being patient with them just like their being patient with me," he added.

"I can see myself going there," Aka said of Minnesota.
