Tyreece Jiles 'Interested' in Minnesota

Cape Coral (Fla.) cornerback Tyreece Jiles claims 23 offers, including one from Minnesota. GoldenSports.net caught up the 6-foot, 175-pounder to get the latest on his recruitment.

"Minnesota contacted me at school a couple of weeks ago," Jiles said. "I talk to coach Rob [Reeves]. The coaches tell me about the other recruits, how the campus is and so forth."

Jiles has tentative plans to set to check out the Minnesota campus in person.

"Maybe this month," Jiles said when asked when he might visit. "I plan on visiting this summer and I still have good interest in the school. I have to see when I'll be able to get the money to get up there."

Aside from Minnesota, a few other teams have the three-star cornerback's attention.

"I'm interested in most all the schools in Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Nebraska, Purdue, Ole Miss, Tennessee and probably Ohio State," he said.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder claims 23 offers but said he will try to whittle the list down to a top five.

"I've been trying to narrow it down to five now but I want to just wait till school is over and I can focus on just [recruiting]," Jiles said.

Jiles explained what factors he will look for in a school.

"Right now I'll probably base it off education level and playing time," he said. "As of now location isn't a factor."
