"I'm not one to talk good about myself but I'm big and athletic and I always will be working hard to improve myself as a player and person," answered Price when asked to describe himself as a player. "I try to get better every day."
With the right attitude and a successful camp season thus far, Price has impressed much of the Big Ten, earning offers from Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, and Minnesota. He also has offers from programs such as Northern Illinois, Toledo and Western Michigan among others.
Price has been in contact with the Maroon and Gold throughout the spring evaluation period.
"Probably [for] about 2 months or so," said Price. "Coach [Jeff] Phelps stopped by the school once and talked with my coach awhile."
The Gophers are one of the latest teams to offer Price.
"Well they (Minnesota staff) called my coach and told him so he gave me the number and I called and talked to Coach Phelps," said Price about receiving the news.
The offer from Minnesota was something that Price was looking forward to.
"I mean ever since I heard they were interested I've been hoping for it," he said. "I think it's really cool. They are in the Big Ten – that's a really cool conference.
"I know they have a big rivalry game with Wisconsin so those are always fun to be a part of. I like that the whole coaching staff stayed together from Northern Illinois to Minnesota."
Price plans on visiting the Twin Cities in the future but does not have concrete plans as to when he might make the trip.
"I'll talk to my folks and find a time," Price said.
