Prep Career

As a junior Brown rushed for 1,204 yards and 14 touchdowns on offense while adding 60 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception as an outside linebacker on defense. He was named All-Conference (Northern Lakes), All-Area (Northern Indiana) and was AP All-State Honorable Mention.

Recruitment

"Recruiting is pretty good right now," he said. "I just got my first offer from Bowling Green and it looks like IU or Toledo might be next. Also I'm hoping to impress and earn a Minnesota offer as well with Northwestern when I go there on the 24th for camp."

Brown is trying to earn more offers and he is motivated by the feeling he got when he received his first offer from Bowling Green.

"It felt good you know? I was happy and blessed at the same time but it also felt like I got that monkey off my back," he said. "Overall it was a great feeling and just got me to stay focused and keep working hard."

Numerous schools have been in contact with the 6-foot, 205-pound running back, including Minnesota. Brown will get to display his talent for the Gophers' coaching staff on Monday when he takes part in a camp at Minnestoa.

"I actually haven't talked to Minnesota too much but Coach Phelps did come to my school he seemed quite interested and excited about working with me," Brown explained. "He said camp would be a great opportunity for me to show him and the rest of the staff my abilities."

GoldenSports.net will have more with Brown following his performance at Minnesota's camp on Monday.
