Carroll Recaps Camp Experience

Edina (Minn.) offensive lineman Kevin Carroll recently attended the Minnesota Big Man Camp on Saturday. was able to speak with him on his camp experience.

How was your camp experience Saturday?
"Camp was great, I felt like I showed the coaches what I came there to show them and that I performed well. Obviously every athlete always performs better but I left camp feeling pretty positive about my performance."

What was it like working with the Gopher's coaching staff?
"I loved working with the staff! Fortunately some of the Northern Illinois coaches were there working with the line and I already had a chance to work with them. I loved Coach Limegrover's style of coaching. He really took an interest in all of the recruits and broke down the run and pass blocking techniques beautifully, so it was very easy to understand and perform."

What was it like being around Coach Kill?
"Coach Kill was very great! It's hard to be around him on the field and not be pump up to play some ball for him."

What kind of feedback did the staff give you?
"They said that they loved my feet and my technique was sound. Also that like everyone I have things to work on, but they said I wasn't lacking any intensity."

Did they talk to you about a potential offer?
"They said that they would be in contact with me and that it's still early in the process but they liked what they saw."

How did the Minnesota camp compare to others that you've attended?
"It's definitely top of the list. I felt like it was the best organized and the coaches took a genuine interest in all of the recruits there."

Are there anymore camps on your schedule?
"I'm done with camps for now unless I want to go to some of the other schools that are recruiting me like Bowling Green and Wyoming."
