Coy Brown Reflects on Gopher Camp

Nappanee (Ind.) athlete Coy Brown reflects on his Minnesota camp performance. Did the 6-foot, 217-pounder impresses enough to possibly earn an offer?

"Coach Phelps said he and the other coaches were very impressed," Brown said when asked how he performed at Minnesota's camp. "They said I did a great job at camp. They are going to keep a very close eye on me. They want me to come to their home opener.

"Also they said they will be coming up to watch me. The only concern they had was my flexibility on my broad jump but other than that Coach Phelps just said good job at keep working hard."

Brown excels at both running back and linebacker in for Northwood High School. The Gophers like the 6-foot, 217-pound athlete on defense.

"I was pleased with what Coach Phelps had to say," he said. "Coach Miller was also quite impressed and talked to me. I feel like they might offer sometime soon.

"Coach Miller kept saying I have a real good chance at earning an offer. I am planning to attend their home opener against New Mexico State."

Bowling Green is the only school to offer Brown but numerous schools have shown interest.
